Larson Jewelers carries the largest  selection of tungsten wedding  bands

With close to 250 styles of tungsten wedding bands to choose from, There is always something new.  Larson  is constantly looking for the latest trends and by working closely with their manufacturers,  bringing the newest styles to the customers first!

ONE STORE MANY STYLES, Larson  carries a huge selection of  traditional metals, like gold, platinum and palladium rings.  With the rising cost of traditional metals many  couples today are  choosing non-traditional, or alternative metals, for their wedding bands.   Tungsten wedding bands now account for about half of all mens’ wedding band sales in the US today.  That is quite amazing since, they have only been around for about 10 years.

One area of our tungsten wedding bands line, called “white tungsten” has grown tremendously.  White tungsten is basically tungsten that has been bonded with platinum group metals to give it a very white color, similar to what you would see on a platinum or white gold ring.  Tungsten be nature is a silvery gray color metal.  Some call it “gun metal gray”.  Recently, couples have been drawn to white tungsten wedding bands because they want their tungsten bands to resemble the same color as platinum or white gold.  One of the main reasons is so, the bride’s wedding band will match her engagement ring, which is normally white gold or platinum.

Another line of tungsten rings that have become very popular are tungsten wedding bands with a carbon fiber inlay.  Carbon fiber patterns have been used in the automotive industry for race cars and show cars.  People love the look carbon fiber weave pattern.  It looks like cloth, yet it is shiny and metallic looking and comes in a variety of colors.  Many jewelers carry black carbon fiber inlaid tungsten rings and white carbon fiber, but that is it.  We have many color combinations, such as black and red, black and green, black and blue, black and silver.  We also have sky blue, purple and pink for women.

Amazingly, one of our most popular selling styles is actually not a tungsten wedding band.  It is a black ceramic ring with black carbon fiber.  Black Ceramic is tough and scratch resistant, just like tungsten carbide.  Its advantage over other black color rings is that it is black all the way through, so even if you manage to scratch it, it won’t be noticeable.  Other black rings are easier to scratch and are silver color underneath the black coating so every scratch shows up really well.

Ring Shopping Tips

Shop together. The engagement ring was the big surprise, but you should decide on wedding rings together. Many women already know what they want on their wedding ring, so sitting down and talking can help get both spouses on the same page.

Decide on matching or separate bands. It is possible to buy wedding rings together so they coordinate, but it is not absolutely necessary. For example, if a man is concerned with a ring appearing too effeminate he can get a different style from the woman.

Match it to the engagement ring. Many people will wear their engagement ring and wedding band together. Having something to match it to will help you make your decision. You may want to visit the same jeweler you got the engagement ring from, or look into it when you are shopping for engagement rings.

Consider your lifestyle. Rings should adorn and accentuate your hands, not hinder them. If you use your hands a lot for manual labor and you do not want to scuff up your stone or damage your ring, consider a low setting or a hard stone. Conversely, if you live a life of leisure and you want to flaunt your luxurious diamond, get it set high and flashy and let it bling.
